Welcome to the Community Affairs department. The Community Affairs Staff is available to assist residents by any means necessary to insure that they receive the best services that Matteson has to offer. One of the first steps in becoming a Matteson resident is coming to the Village and signing a water/sewer agreement. At that time, you will be given a new residents package which outlines services as well as vendors associated with Matteson that help make it the best place to live, work, shop and play.
As a Matteson resident, throughout the year, you will be invited to volunteer as well as participate in one of the monthly programs that the Community Affairs department sponsors. You will be apprised of these programs as well as economic development facts, new Village employees, Village ordinances, upcoming events, feature stories, etc. in The Matteson Avenue Leisure Guide, cable show and on the Matteson Bulletin Board, Comcast channel 4 on cable or Uverse 99. The Matteson Avenue is a monthly newsletter which is available on-line. Newsworthy items are programmed on Matteson Comcast cable station channel 4 or Uverse 99, by a Community Affairs staff member.
