What is Taekwondo?
Taekwondo is an ancient martial art, a modern sport, and a great way to exercise the body and mind. It is the Korean art of self-defense, and Olympic medal event since 2000, and one of the most popular martial arts in the world. A child can participate in Tae Kwon Do starting at the age of 5. Tae Kwon Do is 60% kicking and 40% blocking and striking. This program does not just teach you the defense of kicking and punching. 


Woori's belief is to teach Confidence...Discipline....and Respect, and by the encouragement from our masters. These philosophies will stay with you forever. Some of the other benefits you will receive from this program are to become more flexible. Tone and increased your stamina. 

What is Hapkido?
Known for its ability to control and subdue attackers, Hap Ki Do is especially suited for self-defense. It includes a variety of arm and leg joint locks, skills with different weapons, and the use of pressure points, kicks, punches, and throws. This style of martial arts can be taken by all adults. The definition of Hap Ki Do is the "harmony of the mind and body's energy".


Hapkido also tones and increases your stamina, but is geared toward using the strengthening your upper body. This close contact martial art teaches arm-locks, pressure points, and submission techniques as your defense. One is taught to move in a circular motion using the other person's power (energy) to stop an attack.
