Group X Class Descriptions

Abs & Glutes
This class is specifically designed to strengthen and tone the abdominal muscles (abs) and the muscles of the buttocks (glutes). It typically involves a series of exercises that engage these muscle groups through various movements and resistance techniques. 

Body Works
A lightweight dumbbell workout moved to the beat of the music. Burn calories as you flow through a variety of exercises to sculpt and tone your body into shape! Notice improvements in your muscle tone, posture, balance, and strength. A total body workout!


Bootcamp

A popular interval class that mixes calisthenics and body weight exercises with cardio and strength training. 

Cycle Class
Also known as indoor cycling or spinning, is a high-energy group fitness session conducted on stationary bikes.

HIIT
HIIT or High-Intensity Interval Training is a workout class characterized by short bursts of intense exercise followed by brief periods of rest or lower-intensity activity.

Hip-Hop Step/Aerobics
Hip-Hop Step Aerobics is a dynamic fitness class that combines traditional step aerobics with hip-hop dance moves and music. 

Kick Boxing
This is a group fitness class that combines martial arts techniques with fast-paced cardio. This high-energy workout challenges the beginner and elite athlete alike. Build stamina, improve coordination and flexibility, and burn calories as you build lean muscle with this fun and challenging workout. 

Kettlebell
It is thought that the original kettlebells were counter-weights used in Russian markets...Kettlebell exercises are whole-body exercises requiring full-body integration and core stabilization. 

Low Impact Aerobics
Low Impact Aerobics is a class that focuses on low-impact exercises to get your heart rate up slowly and cause less pressure on your joints. 

Mind Body & Relaxation
A Mind, Body, and Relaxation class is a holistic wellness session focused on integrating mental and physical well-being through relaxation techniques, mindfulness practices, and gentle movement. Participants often engage in activities such as yoga, meditation, deep breathing exercises, and guided relaxation to reduce stress, promote mental clarity, and enhance overall relaxation and balance. 

Pilates
Pilates is a form of exercise that focuses on improving flexibility, strength, and body awareness through controlled movements, breathing techniques, and alignment principles. 

Pound Fitness
This is a high-energy workout class inspired by drumming. Participants use lightly weighted drumsticks called Ripstix to drum along to the beat of the music while engaging in a series of cardio, strength training, and Pilates-inspired movements.

Power Spin
An intense indoor cycling class that focuses on high-intensity training (HIIT) techniques. Participants engage in fast-paced cycling intervals with varying resistance levels, interspersed with brief periods of recovery. 

Rhythm Ride
A cycling workout session that combines traditional indoor cycling with rhythmic movements and music. In this class, participants pedal to the beat of the music, synchronizing their movements with the tempo and rhythm. 

Silver Sneakers
Focuses on strengthening muscles and increasing range of movement for daily life activities. Participants can use hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a Silver Sneakers ball. Often a chair is used for seated exercises or standing support.

Silver Step Aerobics
A Silver Step Aerobics class is a low-impact exercise session designed for older adults or individuals with limited mobility. It involves rhythmic stepping movements using a step platform. 

Sit & Be Fit
This class is designed for older adults, to help balance the body with a focus on core strengthening and exercises to improve flexibility, circulation, and range of motion. 

Stretch & Mobility
This structured workout session is aimed at enhancing both muscular strength and joint mobility. It typically incorporates exercises that challenge muscles through resistance training while also incorporating movements that improve flexibility, range of motion, and overall mobility. 


Zumba
These classes are fitness parties that blend upbeat world rhythms with easy-to-follow choreography, for a total body workout that feels like a celebration.
