If you notice a problem with your sanitary service backing up, we recommend that you contact The Public Works before calling a plumber. We will check the main sewer line to make sure that it is clear. If the main sewer is blocked, it will save the resident the expense of hiring a plumber. If the main sewer is clear, the resident will be required to contact a plumber, at their expense, to have the line cleaned out. The majority of the time the blockage is the resident's responsibility, it is always best to have The Village check the main sewer line first.
