CodeRed

The Village of Matteson and SouthCom Combined Dispatch Center is pleased to announce the implementation of its CodeRED high-speed notification solution. The CodeRED system provides the Village of Matteson officials, the ability to quickly deliver messages to targeted areas or the entire village within minutes. A pre-recorded message is delivered describing the critical situations from evacuations to missing child alerts.

A calling database has been created by capturing home phone information from the Village's 9-1-1 Data and other public record sources. The CodeRed system has the capability of providing emergency information to cell phones, via text messages, and E-mail messages to those residents that may or may not be home at the time of an emergency.

All businesses should register, as well as all residents who have unlisted phone numbers, or who have changed their phone number or address within the past year, and those who use a cellular phone or VoIP phone as their primary number.
