2018 Good Neighbor Awards

The Good Neighbor Award acknowledges contributions to Matteson's quality of life and gives formal recognition to Matteson residents who have contributed in a special way to the betterment of the community. Promoting community pride, being sensitive to neighbors' values and cultural backgrounds and affecting the lives of people of diverse racial, ethnic, religious and/or age groups are only a few attributes of a good neighbor.

Award categories are as follows: Good Neighbor, Young Achiever, Community Service Award (organization), Best Subdivision, Valiant Volunteer, Community Pride, Teacher of the Year, and Business of the Year. It is not required that you make a nomination for each award.

Candidates must be residents of Matteson or a business within Matteson. Submit your nomination form to the Village of Matteson Community Affairs Department, 4900 Village Commons, Matteson, IL 60443 or email it to shurley@villageofmatteson.org by Wednesday, December 27, 2017. Forms are available at the Village Hall and can be found here.
