FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT REQUESTS Requests made under the Illinois Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) to view or obtain copies of the public records held by the Village of Matteson are to be submitted in writing to the Chief FOIA Officer: Angela Simington For your convenience requests may be, but are not required to be, submitted on the Village of Matteson's FOIA form. The Village of Matteson is a non-home rule municipality governed by a Village President and Board of Trustees. The Village serves a population of 18,006 residents in the southwest suburbs of Illinois in the county of Cook. Members of the five Commissions which serve the Village in an advisory capacity are appointed by the Village President. The members of the Administration/Finance Committee and the Public Works Committee consist of two Trustees and a Department Head. Each Board, Commission, and Committee holds its regularly scheduled meetings at a date and time posted on the Village's website and at its central office of 4900 Village Commons, Matteson, Illinois. The total F.Y. 2009-2010 operating budget for the Village is $36,314,981. The Village of Matteson currently employees 139 full-time and 5 permanent part-time employees divided among various departments listed on the Organizational Chart approved by the Village Board. The Village has 4 separate offices: Police Department, Parks and Recreation, Fire Stations 1 & 2 as well as a Public Works Facility located at 21146 Tower Avenue. FOIA Fees: There is no charge for the first 50 pages of black and white letter or legal size copies. Each additional page of black and white letter or legal size copies is 25 cent per page. DVD recording of Village Board Meeting is $1.25. Color copies (including the first 50 pages) will be charged the cost of copying.
