Economic Development

The Economic Development Division of the Administration Department is available for assistance. The department provides a host of information, demographics, and services from site location to development assistance. The department makes it easy to do business in Matteson because it understands the business’s bottom line and does everything to make the transition as easy as possible.

Matteson prides itself on being a dynamic leader in land development, while it is also at the forefront of the preservation of open space. More than a dozen shopping centers, plenty of office space, and mile-long commercial corridor buildings,  as well as industrial areas, surround many of Matteson’s parks, walking trails, passive recreational areas, and the Cook County forest preserve that complement and enhance Matteson's economic development areas.
